The Alpa 9 is a design by John Illingworth, the inventor of the Sydney Hobart regatta and one of the greatest modern naval designers. The project is the no. 282, the owner has a copy of the original plans. Third owner, the first has kept her for a couple of years, the second over 20 years, and the current one for about 22. The boat has sailed every year and has been the object of assiduous care; any worn detail has always been replaced with the spirit of leaving the boat as original as possible. In recent years she has participated in the Argentario Winter Championship, where two years ago she placed second in the Grand Cruiser class. For updated data and photos please contact us via email.
